  • Reduction of specific energy consumption through comprehensive energy management documented in the guidelines for our energy policy:
    • In order to achieve continuous improvement of the EnMS and the energy efficiency of Hellma Materials GmbH, we are firmly convinced that sustainable management is the basis for the long-term success of our company. Sustainability also explicitly refers to the careful and conscious use of resources and energy consumption.
    • We are committed to reducing our energy consumption and our energy-related performance in the long term and increasing our energy efficiency in a continuous improvement process. The EnMS in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001 will contribute to the realisation of these goals. We ensure that the requirements contained therein are implemented at Hellma Materials GmbH in compliance with the standard and that the processes within the EnMS are continuously reviewed and improved.
    • Compliance with legal and other external requirements is a matter of course for us.
    • Our energy policy forms the framework for the definition and evaluation of energy-related objectives and the resulting action plans. In this context, the top management of Hellma Materials GmbH ensures that the resources and information required to set up and maintain the EnMS are made available in appropriate proportions.
    • We undertake to define energy efficiency criteria for the procurement of energy services, systems, facilities, plants and energy as part of the EnMS and to communicate these to our suppliers and partners. When designing new systems, the consideration of energy-efficient options is a matter of course.
    • We plan strategically and operationally, set ourselves targets and monitor target achievement. We take action in the event of deviations and recognise potential for improvement. We fulfil applicable (legal) requirements in the area of energy. Ensuring the improvement of energy-related performance through a continuous improvement process is an integral part of our corporate culture and an obligation for us.
    • Our employees are an integral part of what we do. We oblige all employees to actively participate in environmental protection and energy saving. We support them through education and training, ensure an open working atmosphere and operate the suggestion programme as an active suggestion scheme.
